Time Freedom & The Salon Franchise Business

In my Almost 20 years as a hairdresser, I have watched many a Salon Franchise owner. The burden they were saddled with was something I almost took on myself. All in the search of a better financial future. In hind sight it would not have been a well thought out decision. It just seemed to be the next logical step. After all I was a hairstylist!

But as I sat and took inventory of what I wanted in my life, it became very clear that owning a salon franchise was not going to get us what we wanted. It was actually going to get us more of what we did not want. By being a salon owner, I would have even more responsibility. Everything would be my responsibility. Keeping the product shelves stocked was just the beginning and the easy part. Do I hire employees or booth rent? Not cut and dry no matter which way you go! Then there is rent on the building and multiple insurance policies to carry, and utility bills. Plus I was still going to be behind a chair. It's not like I could walk away from my clientele. I still would need that income until the salon turned a profit to match my income...a few years down the road!

Owning a salon franchise was really going to be like trading one evil for another. I was deflated to say the least. So I headed to the Internet and searched for something we could do that would give us at least 100k a year and did not suck up all our free time. Through our search I found a wonderful home business. Now my husband and I work this business together and no more than 10 hours a week. We found something where we can offer people the valuable product of personal Development. There are many opportunities out there. Some really good company's! So I encourage anyone thinking about a salon franchise, to go over all your options! You may be presently surprised!!
