I Set My Family Free

Everyone says they want freedom. To have their family free from time constraints. Free from financial limitations. Free to enjoy ALL life has to offer. But it's interesting to me how the number of people willing to step out on their own is really small. The herd of conformity is huge in comparison!

Gone are the days of working with a union job and retiring with a gold watch and a nice big pension! Yet everyone just follows along, as did I. Then the rug gets puled out form under you, everything goes down the proverbial crapper, and now what? Job security is a myth! When you take a job your putting your lively hood in the hands of someone else. And believe me one thing I know for sure is that "someone" will put your head the chopping block quicker than you can bat a eye! So where does the risk really lie?

If we sat down and listed out the pros and cons for each, the better choice would become clear.
But would you take action? Would you stop listening to your friends and family, who, chances are, are in the same position as you or worse? Does not seam like a reliable source of guidance to me! The nature of the herd is to keep you in the herd! Their intentions are good. But crippling never the less.

So setting my family free took stepping WAY out of our comfort zone. We also had to turn off the voices in our own head. The ones that played from years of limiting beliefs being thrust upon us from the people we surrounded our selves with. Not easy. But so worth it! The place we have been...Cancun, Rome, Hawaii...Just to name a few. Those would NEVER have been possible had I not decided to become a entrepreneur! NEVER! We honeymooned in Hawaii, and 20 years later still could not afford to go back! Then we lost everything, started a home business, and boom! there we were, on the black sand beaches of Kona Hawaii! Before that Rome , Italy!
I mean really! Who in their right mind would not do this!

Do you have what it takes to set your family free?

Time Freedom & The Salon Franchise Business

In my Almost 20 years as a hairdresser, I have watched many a Salon Franchise owner. The burden they were saddled with was something I almost took on myself. All in the search of a better financial future. In hind sight it would not have been a well thought out decision. It just seemed to be the next logical step. After all I was a hairstylist!

But as I sat and took inventory of what I wanted in my life, it became very clear that owning a salon franchise was not going to get us what we wanted. It was actually going to get us more of what we did not want. By being a salon owner, I would have even more responsibility. Everything would be my responsibility. Keeping the product shelves stocked was just the beginning and the easy part. Do I hire employees or booth rent? Not cut and dry no matter which way you go! Then there is rent on the building and multiple insurance policies to carry, and utility bills. Plus I was still going to be behind a chair. It's not like I could walk away from my clientele. I still would need that income until the salon turned a profit to match my income...a few years down the road!

Owning a salon franchise was really going to be like trading one evil for another. I was deflated to say the least. So I headed to the Internet and searched for something we could do that would give us at least 100k a year and did not suck up all our free time. Through our search I found a wonderful home business. Now my husband and I work this business together and no more than 10 hours a week. We found something where we can offer people the valuable product of personal Development. There are many opportunities out there. Some really good company's! So I encourage anyone thinking about a salon franchise, to go over all your options! You may be presently surprised!!
